The Friends of Swanage Bandstand Match Councils Contribution!

FOSB reached an important milestone when its pledges and donations reached £50,000 matching the amount pledged by Swanage Town Council. At a presentation at the bandstand the FOSB team and supporters presented a symbolic cheque to Swanage Mayor.

On the 9th May FOSB met up with 5 of our local councillors, and several of our supporters at the bandstand and presented a cheque to the Town Mayor to the value of £50,000. With the Council pledge of £50,000 this gives a total of £100,000. Since then our new total is £101,776.19p.

This is not the end of the story and there is a long way to go as Friends of Swanage Bandstand now have the task of raising the balance up to the £160,000 estimated cost.
